A bullet or a fragment?

I somehow missed all this outrage and demand for apology. Wray said it wasn’t yet certain what had hit Trump.

This is self-evident. When Trump claimed he was hit by a bullet, there was no justification for that as far as I knew. He was hit by something.

The FBI analysis confirmed it was the bullet, which indeed is what seemed likely. There is nothing to apologize for. Trump should apologize for dramatically asserting as fact and open question. I was pretty shocked he got away with it. But the notion that Wray has something to apologize for makes no sense. As far as I can tell, it’s naked bullying. There isn’t any argument I heard that makes a case for why Wray was wrong to be cautious.
