Where are all the Steem Faucets?

in #faucet6 years ago

There are hundreds of crypto faucets out there.
Literally.

And they come and go every day.

But there are not any steem faucets.
(Or if there are, google was not able to help me find them.)

Of course, the primary method of earning on steem, is by providing quality content that is voted upon by the community.
But are we missing something here?

Faucets were a way that many, many crypto enthusiasts get introduced to the ecosystem. It is still one of the most popular ways to get cryptocurrencies for free.

And steem doesn't have any.
Now, steem has a better method, in my humble opinion. You are creating value, by providing posts.
But that idea of writing for crypto is going to be foreign to many people.
We could introduce a much larger segment of the crypto world to steem, by setting up faucets, and competing with conventional faucets for the attention of users.

These users will not be able to earn that much from faucets. So they will learn how to supplement that income with providing quality posts, and comments.

The system even makes it easier to do, than on a normal currency!
Steem has no TX fee, so implementing a faucet would lose no money to miner fees.

What do you think?
Could steem benefit from faucets?

I think you should create a faucet, have people upvote and follow you to participate and fill the faucet with Steem and Steem Dollars for your upvotes. Because if you don't do it, who will?

Perhaps I shall...

It would certainly be a niche market. :)
