I prefare comments on steem.
I have screen recording software, but I found it more fitting to just do like I did in the video.
I am curious to what other people think, I just share my thoughts, the tone of voice is very much more calm in Sweden then what is in Stefans video, so its also culture. My 10 years old son almost never scream (anymore).. and I dont think he would ever do it if he knew we was recording.
Stefan M present himself as the greatest man in the world when it comes to raising children, I dont present myself like that, but yet I find my own son more wellbehaved then his daugther and they have the same age, not to forget.

Nothing wrong with buy upvotes, but we expect a certain amount of effort in posts that end up on trending
I may not fully agree with you on the former ever though it had long been normalized on chain but I 100% agree with you on the latter.
The problem is vote selling often lends to effort being an afterthought and timing ones bid being the priority.
Advertisers don't really care about people's expectations. There's plenty of ads I run into everyday on different platforms that I dislike. But money talks. It's the same with the trending tab here. If you want trending posts that trend because of reasons other than its authors paying for it to trend, you can check out platforms like facebook or twitter but even they don't let things they don't like trend and their reasons always goes back to money. If they feel like your post threatens their space, they ban you or shadow ban you. If you want real and authentic information, you need to dig deeper than the trending tabs of any social media.
We are not advertisers and this is not an ad, its a blog post and this is not up for debate. when you copy paste low quality content like someone elses youtube video on the steem trending page you make less people want to come use steem and you hurt the price of steem.
This author could have so easily taken 5 minutes or even 1 minute to write a simple paragraph and ad one little image but they seem to care more about a quick profit at the expense of the greater long term reward. very sad that your justifying his actions... like you have lost hope in steem maybe?
I see you have 10k+ steempower and have been heer a while so you are probably just numb to the terrible content on steem, and you have forgotten where you came from, reddit, or at least where steemiut came from... and we forget how much better the content of reddit is.... and its because they ahve mroe users... but reddit still had much better content back when it was as small as steemit... we just need to grab those top karma reddit users and bring a large portion of them to steem.
If we actually nudge and poke people and tell them hey, improve your posts, they might improve. You really think we should just sit back and let it happen when we could easily comment and let them know they could be making everyone happy and improving their own chances at success, with just a little extra effort?

It's been a hot debate. Many understand it to be a degradation of proof of brain and actual curation.
Promotion should be solely a front end implementation as there is absolutely nothing in the white paper to suggest that votes should sold.
On the contrary, they are used to gauge the value of a users' contribution to the chain. Vote sellers and buyers have perverted and undermined that process.
Many buy into the "it's just promotion" notion that is often sold by those capitalizing on the act of vote selling but those that understand the implications know that very often these "promotion services" are actually used to ROI.
Instead of having an incentive to polish ones craft, we get to see trash content ROI and then ask ourselves "What is the point of quality when a plag post can easily dwarf the payout w/ a well timed bid".
I hope I have provided at least a bit of meat for you in regard to that question. It's essentially legitimized collusive voting.
Circlejerking and vote buying are two sides of the same coin.
P.S. If you want to see how visibility can be controlled in the front end, look at palnet for instance. I'm don't know about their vote selling situation but it's just proof that visibility need not be governed by post payout.
This is an inconvenient fact for bot owners as they have been busy reaping rewards for selling the inflation to abusers rather than those that strive in a more equitable fashion.
If you think about things more deeply, even so-called Proof-Of-Work is ultimately reduced to Proof-Of-Stake since the work in the algorithm is done by machines not humans and machines can be bought so the more stake you have, the more machines you can buy. This whole Proof-Of-Brain thing is no different. All paths lead to money because money talks. Money doesn't grow on trees and those who have it won't give it away for free either. They always expect something back. That's just the reality of how things work in this world.
Of course, we need money coming in but that does mean there should be no modicum for content quality of we are going to trend it.
This post is a prime example.
The money talks cliche isn't really an argument. We can have folks invest, curate properly, post content and reasonable promote it within a front end mechanism.
Then bid bots are redundant and, as they negatively impact curation, should be eliminated. It can be done. Just need to right people, equipment and willingness to fork if necessary.

Bidbots are a great way to attract investors to invest in STEEM as it would bring a return on their investment. And if you like good content and you think it deserves an upvote, there is nothing stopping you from buying an upvote for them or even a downvote for the posts you don't deem worthy. If I'm not wrong, some bidbots like booster sell downvotes as well.
The narrative has been the same since prices were up. Looks like it's working out. /s

Bro he literally wiped out half of all my rewards for all my latest posts , when all i have been is nice toi him upvoting even resteeming him in the past when all fo steemspeak hated him, making fun of him for being a flat earther, i was the only one who was actually nice to him on discord, and he pays me back by just taking multiple dollars worth of rewards at a time when i really need them, this really really sucks.
lasse has like what 10 grand + in steempower from his Danish Welfare and bitconnect scam money and yet he really doesnt realize that steem is going to $0 if he keeps this behaviour up does he? he just keeps talking about VOICE? Hi brother, good to hear from you. In my opinion here we are missing a point and that is, Bid Bots are giving service and individuals are accepting it and it's their Investment. And when it comes to quality then people find quality in Nothingness too. In my opinion no content is Quality Content, because Quality is a perception and Value makes that perceptional quality real. And the aspect of value is differ from person to person.
