Urine Samples - During and After a Water-Fast
The results from my fasting urine samples were surprising!
At the beginning of November I did a short 48 hour water fast. While fasting, I often read “The Miracle of Fasting” by Paul C Bragg. This time I decided to follow his advice and take a urine sample during fasting (around the 36th hour), and another after eating.
I let the samples sit undisturbed in a dark place for about 40 days. I was interested to see the difference in sediments that would form at the bottom of the jars.
Sample A – During Fast
Sample B – After Eating
After 40 days or so, examining the samples surprised me in several ways:
- Sample A, which was a darker yellow initially, became much paler over time. It is the lighter sample in the image. (I expected Sample A to become the darker of the two.) Sample B became very dark.
- Sample A and Sample B both had about the same sediment at the bottom of the jars. However, the sediment of Sample A appeared much earlier. (I expected Sample A to have more sediment.)
- After unscrewing the lid of Sample A and before pouring it down the drain, I took a whiff and almost fell to the floor! The odour was unimaginably foul with an after-burn of turpentine! That was the biggest surprise by far. Of course I had to compare the two, so after I recovered from the foul smell of Sample A, I took a whiff of Sample B. Sample B simply smelled like urine.
I suspect the foul smelling Fasting Urine is evidence that some pretty nasty impurities were removed from my body during the fast.
So there you have it folks; some motivation to fast from time to time!
