The majestic beautiful India was a real discovery for Ferre. Brightness and juiciness of its nature, simplicity of life - all this has left an imprint on the further activity Ferre. There he lives for 3 years, studying clothing production, textile weaving machinery and dyeing fabrics. In Italy Gianfranco returns with a clear understanding of the style of clothing, which he will now create. "I was shocked by the elementality of the forms and the elegance of Indian clothing." - he recalled. It can not be improved, it can only be interpreted. Later, in an interview, Ferre admitted that he became a fashion designer, thanks to his work experience in the East. On the wave of Indian impressions, he creates an ethnic collection of cashmere sarongs in combination with Scottish shirts.

So in 1978 the company "Gianfranco Ferre" was founded, which was destined to become the basis of the future empire.

Serious recognition came to the designer only in 1982, when Gianfranco received his first prestigious award in the field of fashion "Golden Eye", all in his career, Ferre was awarded this award six times. Of course, this could have happened before, but the arrogant and self-confident beginner ignored the advice of the fashion journalists and especially did not stick to fashion trends. But he went the right way and eventually became a key figure in the fashion boom of the 80s, 90s of the last century.

С тех пор стиль от Ферре завоевывает пространство мировой моды, правда процесс этот был не быстрым.
