The first photo model from Yemen
Yemen is a very traditional country and has many tribes. As everyone know that they are facing some problems now a days. But even in this difficult time we discover the first Yemeni model Maryam Nazim who is 21 years old.
She left Yemen in 2014 and lives in the capital city of Uzbekistan. Her mother is from Russia and the father from Yemen. She speaks four languages, very talented and beautiful. Her mother was a fashion designer and that gave her a chance to be a photo model and introduce the clothes and tradition of Yemen to the world.
She chose this way even when her family and society were against this decision. Now with the time people in Yemen started to accept this reality and love this courageous brave girl who made a big step to change the history of women in Yemen.
You are right, Yemen is rarely spoken about, or rather not spoken at all. Although in the world it is. Mostly they say that if it's Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates about luxury and wealth, if war and problems are, then it's Syria and Palestine, if exotics is then Tunisia and Morocco. Thank you for discovering the unique culture of Yemen !!!
Yes you are right. There are many countries we dont even hear about them in the news. But now social media made it easy for us to discover the hidden secrets :)
