If you are a fan of Bollywood, I bet that a large part of that is, your love for the Indian Couture. Those handcrafted, exquisite creations - be it the sparkling, intricate jewels or the finely embridered clothes, matched with eye catching accessories, can win anyone's heart. Each piece is painstakingly created, with hand, by local artisans, who have learnt their skill from their ancestors. It is this which makes each piece unique and one of a kind.

The various parts of India, are famous for their own special art form, when it comes to designing clothes. You may have heard of the fine Zari embroidery of Varanasi, or the shiny Gota patti work of Rajasthan or the colorful Phulkari work of Punjab, the list is endless. These are all traditional art forms, each very different from the others, yet having one thing in common, the end result is stunning.

There was a time when the traditional nature of these pieces, limited their wearability. But with time, Indian fashion has also evolved, with designers finding new ways to incorporate the traditional with the modern. Now you will beautiful designs, not just in sarees and suits, but also in skirts, dresses and gowns that are perfect for any girl, even if she is not Indian.

Today I decided to write this article, so wherever in the world you are, you can own a unique piece Indian culture. I do most of my shopping online and thought it would be helpful to introduce you to two of my favorite websites for ethnic wear, that showcase upcoming designers, do not compromise of quality and offer worldwide shipping.

The first is www. jivaana.com, where you can find not only beautiful dresses and gowns, but also a wide range of accessories. From small party clutch bags, to ethnic footwear, such as those shown in the pictures above, you are sure to find something that is perfect for you. It is a one stop shop for all your fashion needs and that too at very reasonable prices. The second one is www.kalkifashion.com, and it is my favorite when it comes to buying Indian clothes. Kalki may not be big on accessories, but when it comes to designer wear, it has all other websites beat, with a diverse catalogue that caters to every budget. What's more you get a discount of 11% on your first order.

So go ahead and check them out, even if you don't buy something, it's always fun to browse! And please, please please upvote my post, so I too can pick up something new soon! :)
