““But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.” Matthew‬ ‭22:11-12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The unnamed man above got an undeserved invitation to a great banquet, it was the wedding banquet of the king’s son. This was not a small party, but royalty, a purple and gold occasion. It was a privilege to be invited, so magnanimous of His majesty. So our man rushed to the palace in his drab street clothes, unbothered by his inadequate presence, he was all for the dainties of the King. But then, His majesty came in to see His guests, and noticed the inadequately dressed man. Why would you come here dressed so improperly? The King asked. Then He instructed His servants to take the drably dressed man out, for he was unfit for the Kings banquet.

We were all invited, and in response we became born again, we actually did not deserve the invitation. Now here we are in the great banqueting hall. There is beauty everywhere, and there is quite a lot to eat. Conversations are going on and the drinks are just the best. What a privilege ? What a booty? But I know, that very soon, His majesty will come in to see His guests. He will like to see you properly dressed.
