Hello friends of Steemit and Steemchurch Farms, this time I will talk about another agricultural tool, it is the Sickle.

It is an agricultural tool in the shape of a half moon, mainly used to cut the ears, grass, corn, herbs, grain crops, sometimes used to prune weeds.

Its blade is made with an alloy of copper and carbon steel or steel carbon steel, has a sharp edge in the concave part, this blade is coupled in a handle usually made of wood or metal.

It was used by many cultures throughout history, an evidence is what the Bible mentions many times, a sample of it is the following.

I looked, and here is a white cloud; and on the cloud one sat like the Son of Man, who had on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, Thrust in your sickle, and reap; for the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust his sickle into the earth, and the earth was reaped. Another angel came out of the temple that is in heaven, also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the altar, having power over the fire, and called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Thrust in your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the earth, for their grapes are ripe." And the angel thrust his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw the grapes into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

Design proposal.

The proposal that is shown, is a sickle that has a leaf with a curvature less pronounced than the common so as to have a greater field of action when using it.

Its blade can be made of an alloy of carbon steel with chromium, which is what gives resistance to oxidation.

The handle or grip is made of polymer with a nitrile coating and rough surface, to obtain adherence in the hand of the farmer.
