TUESDAY: They serve for good humor but they are radioactive

in #farms6 years ago

"Cambur" or Banana by excellence it is the main fruit of the table in tropical countries, both for its nutritional value and its low cost, never miss a good bunch to eat at all times. Its consumption provides many health benefits, from sex to cardiovascular problems as follows:

1.-Whole or in shakes, this fruit is rich in vitamins and minerals its consumption increases the potassium in our body by providing magnesium, vitamin C and B6, which strengthen the immune system improving health.

2.-It contains serotonin and amino acid tryptophan, this lifts the mood and makes you feel good.

3.-For people who consumed a lot of alcohol due to the high potassium content this fruit is a good cure for the hangover. There is nothing better to combat than taking a banana smoothie with a spoonful of honey, the body rehydrates and recovers almost immediately, I say from experience.

4.-A high level of potassium and low sodium reduces cardiovascular risks by decreasing high blood pressure and improving circulation.

5.-It contains catechins and delphinidins, natural antioxidants that help reduce breast and kidney cancer.

6.-Thanks to vitamins B6 and B12 they help the body recover from the effects due to lack of nicotine. The cambur helps overcome the vice of the cigarette.

7.-It helps to be a better lover in sex since it can prevent premature ejaculation, thanks to magnesium, and fatigue thanks to potassium.

8.-It increases our potassium levels and helps us stay hydrated as it is composed of 75% water.

They are radioactive, this is due to the concentration of potassium-40, a type of radioactive isotope of potassium sufficient for a Nuclear research center to warn that they can activate the sensors used in US ports to detect contraband nuclear material. An average banana contains 0.1 microsieverts of radiation. "The levels of radioactivity of the banana are insignificant" 1

Brief historical review

The banana was born in the humid and warm valleys of the peninsula of Malaysia. More than 4,000 years ago, travelers took the banana to Africa and later, the Arabs took it to India and the Middle East. The Portuguese planted it in the Canary Islands and finally, accompanied the crew of Admiral Christopher Columbus and remained a Creole in our lands2 .

Christopher Columbus brought him to America on his second voyage and is one of the oldest fruits in the history of man. The banana is an annual plant, the root is a rhizome and the stem short, soft and hollow. From the latter come pseudostems formed by pods. The leaves are long and erect; the male flowers and their deciduous bracts. The fruits are born in bunches, are edible, sweet taste and many varieties.
