Greetings friends @farms. It has been interesting to know the benefits of both plants and fruits for health and the importance of planting plants in small gardens in your own home, however, there are fruits that need to have some space for harvest, for example, the melon. This post I will be mentioning how the melon is sown and its great nutritional importance, the minerals and vitamins it contains and three ways to prepare it so that its consumption is pleasant.

The melon is a very juicy fruit because it contains a high percentage of water and is characterized by being a refreshing fruit, like the pin. It contains vitamins and minerals with many health benefits, such as vitamin A, C and B9.

Both vitamin A and C are antioxidants and strengthen the immune system. It also contains phosphorus, magnesium, calcium and potassium, the latter serves as a diuretic for its high percentage of water and the vitamins it contains.

How it is grown

The plants reproduce by seeds. You can select 4 or 5 seeds and bury them. These plants are big because they spread all over the ground, so you can leave about 1 meter between them.

The other way to sow, is to germinate the seed and once ready to plant it in the soil where it is going to be cultivated, the land must be fertile.

Between 3 to 5 months they will have fruits ready to harvest and consume.

How to consume them

There are many ways to eat them but the quickest and most tasty ones are:

Peel the fruit, cut it into slices or pieces and eat them naturally. Some people add sugar to them and they can be accompanied with other fruits, like fruit salad.

Melon juice, in the blender add water and pieces of fruit, add sugar to taste and ready to serve. You can add a touch of vanilla.
