'Geese Flight' - the painting that started my Blue Nature series.

Greetings everyone here on steemit. About today topic I would like to share a story of mine.

There were geese nesting on the river bank outside my new art studio in London, reminding me of the place of my birth, high in the Rockies in Canada. Late one evening, inspired, I painted the geese. They flowed out of me, plunged me into memories of being surrounded by 30 ft snow in the winters and icicles so big we weren't allowed to walk under them in case they dropped. The geese were our time keepers - their haunting calls on thier migration home, meant that the long winter was over and the ice would start to melt. SPring was coming!

From them, came owls, hares, stags ...

It has been an incredible journey, leading me being a fulltime artist today. I feel very blessed and grateful to those geese! Might have to paint one for my solo show!
