Behind my house a piece of land which basically had no use until i decided to start planting some few plants here and there. I have decided to share with the community today my progress and to solicit directives and guidance as to what to do next. The land is more of clayey with some loamy mixture am not a geologist so i can't really tell well but so far i have pineapples, oranges plants, some plantains and sugar canes growing here. I also have a tomato, okro and cotton plant growing closer to the house here. They however not really organized but rather scattered throughout the land.

So far i have been able to harvest some of the sugar cane, the pineapples kinda looks stunted, am sure it will grow eventually maybe i should apply some fertilizer?

They are a lot though, so far i have been doing this with the help of my father who was very good farmer in his youth ages, currently he is a teacher however i intend to siphon as much knowledge as i can because i intend to start a farming business
together with my profession in the near future. Maybe this will serve as the best opportunity for me to study so few tips here and there.

The plantain plants have also yielded some plantains which we consume from time to time.

The oranges are however very young, they have been like this for a long time am worried perhaps they ain't growing?

Having crops like tomatoes, okro and peppers growing around the house comes in handy alot when you need some few for food preparations at home. So this is my backyard "garden", how should i go about organizing it? And what other crops do you suggest i can grow here addition to what is already here?
