Growing of Cebollín en Maceta

Chives, also known as chives, is an herb that belongs to the onion family, its scientific name is Allium schoenoprasum, it is said that its origin is European and others indicate that it is from northern Canada, however, it is not very clear its origin. What I can assure you is its delicious soft flavor, which gives a particular touch to the meals, turning them into star dishes.

This aromatic herb, rich in vitamins, calcium and carotenes, has many benefits in natural medicine, as a wonderful ally to sleep, improve concentration and memory, for learning, ideal for regulating weight, since it absorbs fat , and it has even been proven that this fights depression.

Thanks to all these reasons, encourage me to plant potted chives, which is very easy friends, you can plant with seeds that sell in specialized shops of agriculture or also transplant its roots. The cultivation of this plant can be done throughout the year, however I recommend planting them in late spring.

This herb should be planted in a large pot and with enough soil, which should be fertilized with organic matter preferably (coconut fiber, earthworm humus and egg shells); Once the pot is prepared I distributed the seeds in the whole container and add a thin layer of the compost that I prepared before, it is important that these plants are watered every so often to keep the soil cool, you should also consider if they live in cold places to protect them so that they thrive.

Friends once you have your pot cultivation ready, you should wait approximately 04 months for them to grow, for their collection it is recommended that they be cut when reaching approximately 15 to 25 cm.

Once you collect your beautiful chives, it is advisable to keep it in the refrigerator, preferably on a kitchen paper, so you can prepare your most exquisite culinary creations or take a rich and miraculous infusion.

Friends here I leave some photos of my beautiful crop of potted onions, I recommend you dare, it is wonderful to collect your own products.
