Aji Jobito

in #farms8 years ago
Hello friends Steemians, today I will talk about the aji Jobito, a kind of chili, very appreciated for the delicious and tasty flavor that it contributes to the preparation of meals. In Venezuela, it is cultivated, particularly in the eastern part of the country and it is very difficult to find outside of Latin America.

The ají Jobito is a species that comes from the family of sweet Venezuelan peppers, which reinforce the flavors in the recipes that contain them; This is used in multiple preparations as a main ingredient or as a complement to many dishes. In my country Venezuela, its use is very versatile since it is used to prepare stir-fry, to enhance many dishes, and it is even used as a star ingredient to make sweets, cakes, chocolates and even ice cream.

This species, has a great gastronomic value, is known by the scientific name of Capsicum annuum; It is small, rounded and green and yellow, not itchy, and is rich in vitamins A, B and C, also, they contain minerals such as phosphorus, magnesium, iron and potassium.

The cultivation of this variety of chili is very easy, usually seedlings are made directly on the ground, can also be grown in pots and trays; the sowing process is similar to that of paprika, only it takes longer to germinate, it occurs in temperatures between 30 and 35 ° C, and a month and a half later, they are ready to transplant; something very important, and as always I recommend; It must be planted in a well-fertilized soil, it must be fresh and moist so that the crop grows more optimally.

Care should be taken with this crop, as it is sometimes affected by some pests, among which are thrips, mites, white flies and aphids, pests that can cause havoc to these plants, which is why I particularly recommend that Instead of using industrial and processed pesticides, use ecological pesticides such as neem tree oil and garlic extract which have had very good results when it comes to protecting our pepper plants.

Friends Steemians, this is just a brief review of this small but magnificent kind of aji, which has become the banner of great Venezuelan chefs, who have made it known worldwide, I hope that when they come across a recipe that contains it, do not hesitate to try and enjoy its unequaled and exotic flavor.

I hope you like my article, you love them ... Greetings
