Last time, i expalined about miced farming which i discussed about planting of crops and also rearing of farm animals.
On today topic, i will be explaining about mixed cropping.
What is mixed cropping?
Mixed cropping is the planting of different types of crops in the same piece of land.
Mixed cropping are mostly practiced by subsistence farmers. Subsistence farming is the process in which farming is best practised by the farmer and his family.
Mixed cropping, also known as polyculture, inter-cropping, or co-cultivation, is a type of agriculture that involves planting two or more plants simultaneously
Mixed cropping is a farming practice of sowing two or three crops together on the same land.
Mixed cropping can be defined as the growing of two or more crops simultaneously on the same piece of land.
Advantages of Mixed farming: Farmers can keep their fields under continuous production.
Mixed cropping implies a cropping technique in which different types of crops are cultivated together. On the contrary, when two or more crops are cultivated harvest will be continues.
