In today topic , i will be talking about fish farming.
What is Catfish?
Catfish (or catfishes; order Siluriformes or Nematognathi) are a diverse group of ray-finned fish.Named for their prominent barbels, which resemble a cat's whiskers.
When something is farmed it means you're growing it for consumption. People who farm catfish are able to raise more than someone who can only catch them in the wild and bring them to market. You can have one or 100 ponds on your property to farm them in and you get them from a fish hatchery when they are just little and then you feed them and then sell the grown fish to buyers.

STEPS IN STARTING A FDISH FARMIN
Decide whether you will start out with a small operation or a large farm.
Determine what types of sales you will focus on so you can get a marketing plan in place.
Construct a detailed budget. Be sure to include line items for catfish production essentials you will need each year: feed, fingerlings, work force, fuel, electricity, equipment, supplies, and repairs. If you have secured financing for your catfish farm venture, don't forget to include the interest you will be paying on the borrowed funds
Research what permits you will need to launch your catfish farm.
Know the signs of fish disease, what actions you can take to prevent it, and what chemicals are safe to use to treat disease that does occur.
