SPINACH CULTIVATION
There are several aspects to consider to start growing spinach. Among them we have the following:
Type of land:
This type plant prefers moist soils and with sufficient organic matter. It can be sown on the ground directly or in pots. It is recommended to add compost to the soil for a better harvest.
Germination:
Spinach is not very hot. That is why it is usually sown when the hottest seasons have passed. However, there are types of spinach that are more resistant to heat. This has to be considered, because if it is not done it will flourish faster and its leaves will have a very bitter taste.
Sowing:
The sowing of the spinach is done directly to the earth. If it is done on land, it is usually left a relevant separation (approximately 30 cm). They can also be planted in pots.
Sun:
Spinach grows perfectly in sunny climates. Although it can also tolerate sun exposure. You just have to make sure they are ventilated places.
Irrigation:
It is recommended to water these plants when the soil is about to dry. Avoid waterlogging, as this could rot the roots.
Harvest:
To collect the spinach, it is recommended to tear off the outermost leaves, allowing the most tender ones to grow.
