Among the most common diseases that can present these animals we have:

Bronchitis: germs, dust, excessive humidity are the triggers of this disease in pigs. Its symptoms are excessive cough, lack of appetite, fever, runny nose, and a certain noise when coughing. To prevent this disease it is necessary that the pig's habitat be clean and free of dust. Experts recommend feeding them milk to promote the relief of it.

Hemorrhoids: yes, believe it or not, this is also a disease that affects these animals. This is caused by inflammation of the pig's rectum. This is characterized by bleeding in the area. For its treatment it is recommended to administer laxatives or sprinkle calcium and alum in the affected area. There is a possibility that the disease is advanced and, therefore, surgical intervention is necessary.

Swine fever: this is a contagious disease that necessarily needs medical attention. Its treatment consists in the application of sera to piglets. However, preventively, the vaccination serum is usually applied to the piglet. Its symptoms include loss of appetite, fever, cough, red skin pigmentation, diarrhea, irritated eyes. Being alert to these symptoms will save the life of the animal.

Poisoning: this can be caused by the feeding of the animal (ingestion of lead, arsenic, bleach or common salt). The symptoms of this disease are acute stomach pain and diarrhea. It is recommended to change the animal's diet and administer magnesia salts at a rate of 45 kilos in weight of the animal.

Indigestion: the feeding of the pig must be watched constantly, because these can present problems of indigestion that are detected, because the animal shows little desire to eat, break and constipation. For this you must supply a laxative diluted in your meals, having sought medical help to determine which is the most indicated.
