FARMS: THE SEED OF CILANTRO

in #farms6 years ago

I will talk about a very rich vegetable with a very pronounced smell, coriander (Coriandrum sativum) is a plant with a dark green color and is widely used in Asian and Latin dishes. It is quite easy to grow only seeds are thrown into the ground and will be given but this must be done when the danger of frost is over, also cilantro is known as parsley and cilantro, it is a very tasty aroma and is special for salads and soups . In my country Venezuela we usually use it a lot in the soups of meats and chickens and it gives it a splendid flavor. So I'll share how we can plant cilantro.

CILANTRO CULTIVATION

Weather

In order to plant cilantro we must know when we should do it at what time of year and what is the right climate to plant, cilantro can not withstand frost but can not withstand intense heat. What I want to say is that to be able to sow you must see where you live if it is a temperate climate you should plant it in late spring as March and May but if you live in a tropical area it is better to sow them in cold and dry as the end of autumn.

  • There is also another place where you can plant cilantro at the end of summer until autumn.

  • When the weather gets very hot the plants will start to sprout, this means that they will flower and leave seeds. So you must know what time of year you should sow.

PREPARE THE SOIL

The necessary thing to take into account is that you should know how to choose a place that is comfortable and that the ground is light and drained with a good HP of 6.26.8. And it must have a direct exposure to the sun, it can stand to be in the shade but it is good that it hits the sun. If you are going to clean the place where you are going to plant the plant you must use a rake or laya so that it is well prepared and can dig a small hole and put organic fertilizer such as compost or manure. This will help the plant grow healthy.

THE MOMENT OF SOWING

Pirmero must have a depth of 5mm to be able to sow coriander, it also creates a row of approximately 15 to 20 cm and a distance of 30 cm. This is important to be able to sow the seeds, make sure to water them frequently since the seeds so that they can germinate need a bastate humid earth. You need about 3 cm of water per week, and they must germinate in 2 or 3 weeks. The good thing is that the cilantro grows quite fast and as it is so you can go sowing more seeds so that you can have a lot of coriander cultivation all year long.

CARE

Once the plant begins to grow and reaches a height of 5 cm we must fertilize them with fertilizer, water soluble nitrogen. We must add very carefully because we should not overdo the fertilizer because the coriander plants should not have much water, we should just keep it a little wet but not so soaked, since the cilantro is a dry climate boil.

DO NOT LEAVE OVERPOPULATION

Do not let the coriander plant overpopulate, you should avoid it when you have a height of 5 to 8 cm. You should cut the smaller and weak plants and leave the strongest ones to continue their good growth. You can also protect the plant and not let weeds fall by putting mulch around the plant on the ground.

CILANTRO HARVEST

When the time comes to be able to use our coriander crop, cut the most individual leaves and stems from the base of the plant near the ground, and this should be done when the plant reaches a height of 15 to 20 cm. Always use new and fresh buds, not old ones that look like elecho, because they can be bitter. Do not cut more than you have to cut but the plant could weaken and after cutting the leaves the plant should continue growing at least between 2 to 3 more cycles.

This is all you need to know to grow cilantro is easy and grow very fast so you can use them and take advantage quickly, and prepare the best recipe but what I recommend is to add it to the soups especially the meat this hievra It is very rich and healthy and it is a benefit to be able to plant it ourselves.
