Just like any other plant, okro can easily be cultivated or grown on the back of your home or on a small piece of land, but before planting ensure you prepare the land on which the okro is to be grown, remove all rocky or stony material on that piece of land and ensure easy exposure of sunlight and Note: Okro produce badly on waterlogged land.

Okro seed should be planted on ridges with 1-2 inches apart and should be watered onces per week. The difference with Okro plant from any other plants is that it can be cultivated in any type of soil.

Harvesting of okro pods can be done the second (2) month after planting and can be easily identified when the pods are soft... The process of harvesting should be carefully done, because the pods at this stage are still tender and can be easily bruised.
