A DJI Mavic Pro drone comes to visit me over the weekend.
I had a treat this weekend. Tony came out with his newly purchased Mavic Pro drone and we took it for a test drive. The temperature was -10C and the Mavic handled really well. It stood completely still in hovering mode.
The Mavic Pro takes up very little space and comes with a nice compact backpack.
Connect your mobile device for additional control and video feed. We had trouble seeing the display in the bright sunlight.
The Mavic's acceleration is amazing, capable of around 40 mph.
We shot the video at 1080p even though it is capable of full 4K video, Tony has not yet set up the drone so there was learning curves in the first flight. We intend to do some photo shoots in the coming weeks so keep posted as Mavic Pro and Nikon D610 go hunting for moments in time.
