Welcome to Myerstown Family Farm!

As the revelation of Steemit being an incentivised platform to have blogs at, I am curious to see how well it works. For those who upvote the posts, I receive an incentive. I am still pretty new at this platform, but as I see it, Steemit takes the blockchain that Bitcoin is built on and makes blogging on the blockchain possible. The reason is to prevent censorship as it is impossible to take down once up...unless you get the user name and password. As many of us know, Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube are now in full swing to lower views of content that is not acceptable to some party in charge. 

Myerstown Family Farm began back in 2005 when I first began feeling the massive economic challenges that are now a reality. The idea back then was to become a self sustainable farming operation that would supply all necessary inputs needed to run a farm so outside inputs would not be required. 

We have gone through many phases of blogging, vlogging and more! Its really quite exhausting. That said, I'm willing to give this a try as many folks are touting this platform as the next Facebook.  And even one recent adopter made $12,000 in one weekend. That is a special situation as he has a large following and most of his following also are users of Steemit. 

So, what can you expect from Myerstown Family Farm? Well currently, we are in Alaska about to move to Missouri to start building on our 10 acres of land. You will see construction projects, farming techniques, hunting advice, beekeeping, musical interests including banjo building, wine making, beer making, and animal husbandry. There may be a few more general categories than these but these pretty much cover the whole scope.
