RE: farmersmarket-challenge

Folks in the Willamette Valley are fortunate in the farmer's market department, that's for sure! The growers put out a lot of effort to get that great produce out there. And in our local farmers market, at least, people can use their SNAP cards to buy fresh produce, too. I think there are still programs, too, in Oregon, that will match some senior's in their farmer's markets purchases. I'm fortunate to be able to eat mostly from my own yard, but the farmer's markets are an important part of our local food economy!

We are definitely lucky in the northwest! long growing season and mild climate helps a lot too. And yes you're right, people can use SNAP and Oregon Trail cards to buy at the markets. Eating from your own yard is the very best of all! I have the space but not the time and always feel like I'd rather be making something in clay than working in the garden but am full of respect for those who do!

I feel just the opposite about clay and gardens, lol. It's better for the clay that way, too! ; )

Lol, yes we can't all do it all nor should we...

I'm sure glad that other folks like doing medical work, too! And so many other things!

Lol, yes so true!
