The level of violence in this thread and in other areas of this platform brings sadness to my heart. To teach people what behaviours fit the definition of 'violence' is going to be a monumental challenge. Violence has been such an integral part of our lives for so long, most people have normalized and justified it. It is a part of our social structures and seems like we cannot have a relationship without engaging in those structures.

As a result, we end up with flag wars, name calling and passive / aggressive behaviours which all leads up to governments taking children, murders, theft, rape, covetousness and other brutal ways of treating one another.

This is not a healthy way to live. We all must find ways to examine our own behaviours and question whether we are being violent against others or we are engaged in peaceful, healthy relationships.

I don't know @canadian-coconut or @markwhittam personally, but I've come to know them over the past number of months through their work here on steemit. I stand to testify on their behalf that their love and compassion for children resulted in this joint effort they call @familyprotection. Confronting child abuse, whether it is state sponsored or through domestic violence is a dangerous but necessary action we all must take. I've seen no evidence of collusion or state sponsored sabotage in their actions.

People will attack those who confront others. These attacks are at times associated with the individuals fear as they don't want to get caught or confronted. Other times the attacks have other justifications. But in the end, good work must be supported and encouraged. I stand as a witness to testify that this group has demonstrated an honourable track record of bringing awareness and support to people who have been victimized by abusive authority.

The fact that they are being attacked means they have hit a nerve and as such I stand by their side to rebuke those who try to get in the way of spiritual righteousness. As we unveil the violence in our lives, we reveal the ugly and evil side of our own psyche. It is very uncomfortable to see. But we must do this work if we are going to Graduate Life with Honours.

I rebuke those who have engaged in violence in this thread! This is not how love is manifested. My heart aches being a witness to this level of covert and overt violence.
