LETS TALK ABOUT CHILD ABUSE Africa!!!

Child abuse is one topic that has been for a long time been neglected, from malnourishment to abandonement to mutilation and other forms of violence Against children. Child abuse has been in record for a long time in all part of the world but can still very much be seen in most part of Africa, I bet 60% of the children in West Africa are been abused but are unaware of this thing called child abuse..

        HOW ARE CHILDREN ABUSE AND NEGLECT DEFINED 

Different cultures have different rules about what are acceptable parents practices. For instance for my father while I was young he would not get us a phone until we grew old enough to get one ourselves his belief was that phones and internet do corrupt children.. Due to different views on child-rearing across cultures it may diverge to such an extent that agreement on what practices as regards child abuse and neglect would be extremely difficult to reach

NEGLECT

Physical abuse range from all form of corporal punishment like beating, kicking, punching and hitting, these form of punishment is accepted in most countries. It is a significant phenomenon in schools mostly in Africa, a scenario can be seen from when a student comes late to school.. Coporal punishment is dangerous for children, it kills thousands of children and causes injuries for some.
Neglect has to do with a child's care give not paying attention to the health of the child, depriviation of food which can cause hunger, inadequate protection from environmental dangers poor hygiene the list is name less.

I remember those times when I was young my mum would deprive me of skipping dinner or lunch I never knew it was an abuse of neglect many of us dont know, well now you do.

CONCLUSION
Child abuse is a serious global health problem, mostly in Africa where little recognition is given to child abuse and mistaken for child training. Much more can be done and should be done to this problem. Prevention effort and policies should be made to reduce the act.
