An excellent question to ponder. It all goes back to money. Sex trafficking is more lucerative than the governmental illegal drug trafficking, Together they fund our government. Taxes are today just a means to keep us as peasants and controlled. Sex trafficking and drug money pay much better that our taxes.

There is a two-tiered system of (in)justice, one for the elites and government officials (including the police), and another for the rest of us.

It is so Orwellian and a hypocrisy. They will not escape the great judge regardless of their life extension efforts. Thanks @richq11
