Human rights tribunal

There’s an election going on in Canada, which is taking up a lot of air time; but what I’ve noticed is nobody has brought up the Human Rights Tribunal ruling against the Government of Canada concerning Indigenous children that were taken from their parents and put I. The foster system.

To recap, the tribunal ordered them to pay 40,000 dollars to each child taken since 2006. Resulting in a payout that’ll be north of a few hundred million.

Last time it was mentioned the government said it had to review the tribunal ruling to ensure it was properly addressed.

Then election time happened.

The problem is... it’s still an open ruling that has to be fulfilled. You would think a lawyer would have time to ask what the progress is... government doesn’t stop just because they might end up as lame ducks.

Nor have they addressed the rest of the ruling. A series of orders to fix the system and end stealing kids.

I wonder why it’s on the back burner.

I’ve sent a few letter looking for some information, I think it’s going to be awhile.
