What does FAMILY mean to you?

I was looking through the photos which was taken during our family trip to Italy and I couldn’t help but look at the photo taken of my parents walking down the street during sunset in Milan.

Couldn’t help but started to think at the end of the day, like what the picture shows, family is the one that will always be walking right beside you. Whether in good times or bad times, family is our bedrock.

So often in this time and age, we are so caught up with work and our mobile devices. Preferring to glue our faces to our mobile devices than to communicate with our families.

We may have lots of friends or office mates and so often we tend to confide in them more than with our family. But in hard and difficult times, Who will be there for us? Chances are our family is the one that will be there for us without questions asked. Cause it is what family are. They are there to support you and me no matter what happens. There are many people can help you, but the family will help you whenever you are alone.

So have you neglected your family in the midst of your busy schedule and distractions?

Take a few mins of your time to reflect and ask yourself when was the last time you had quality time with your family?

I challenge everyone that is reading this post to make a difference today with their families. It doesn’t take much to create that bond within the family.

When was the last time you last spoke to your parents?If you need to think then just pick up the phone and give them a call. Few simple words from you telling them how much you appreciate them can go a long way in your family relationship.

When was the last time the family had a meal together? If it has been a while, make time tonight to sit the family together for dinner and ask about each other. Make sure there are no mobile devices at the dinner table.

When was the last time you said a simple yet sincere “I love you” to your wife/husband? Why wait. Just say it.

Simple actions go a long way in ensuring our family relationship is strong. We do not need Mothers’ Day, Fathers’ Day or our Anniversary to remember. Every day is family day.
