HOW TO DISCUSS FAMILY PROBLEMS WITH OUR SPOUSE
When you and your spouse discuss a problem, do you seem to end up further apart than when you started the conversation? if so what should you do? Women usually prefer to talk out a problem before hearing a solution but men tend to think in terms of solution
WHAT YOU CAN DO
MEN: Practice empathetic listening
WOMEN: Say what you need and say it at the right time (proverbs 15:23)
BOTH: Apply golden rule, (Mathew 5:12) we tend to treat others the way we will like to be treated
Be quick to listen slow to speak (James 1:19)
In showing honor to one another take the lead (Romans: 12:10)
Have unity of mind, fellow feelings ( 1peter : 3:8)
good practical step i think i will apply this
My husband and I have just had our 54th anniversary. Quite amazing!
But I often refrained from saying things... because I remembered the saying: `less said, sooner mended.'
