Dear Diary - Yesterdays Excursion To The Beach!
Dear Diary,
Today we are recovering from yesterdays excursion to the beach.
Yes, we are all sunburned and we have been tired all day.
Yesterday we went to Cronulla Beach first, the waves were big and we are not used to waves, where we came from the biggest wave is approximately the same size as a wave in a bath tub, the Adriatic Sea in summer does not have many waves, because there are 1,001 islands in between the open sea and the beach. Here the waves are very big and it may take a bit of practice to get used to.
My mother was knocked over by a wave and she barely got up, so we decided to find this one beach that we went to last year, which is a lot calmer, because it has boats parked there.
I couldn't remember the name of the beach, and i got upset and started driving home, then I saw the road where we turned last year to get to that beach and I quickly changed lanes and turned and we got there.
We had a lot of fun, the little one didn't want to go into the water, he was afraid of sharks, so he says.
When I spoke with Jack on Skype later on, he laughed and laughed, because he grew up here and loves the waves. Funny thing how he never liked going to the beach in Croatia, he said it was boring, now I understand what he was talking about. i still prefer calm waters when at the beach.

Today was too hot, or maybe it was too hot because we are all sunburnt.
We will go to the beach again before school starts, it is a good day for the children to enjoy themselves and to get out and exercise.
I can't wait for school to start again.

In general, I do not miss the winter, but in such hot days, it would be nice to have some cold weather.
