I need to learn that it’s ok not to be perfect. The only way to learn something is to do it… to take risks just like I ask my children and students to do.

This is key. By modeling this day in and day out, your kids will grow up to put "perfectionism" in the right perspective. Many folks who are so stuck on being perfect end up doing nothing -- they are paralyzed.
