Pumpkin Picking at Jones Family Farm

October 21, 2018

Today I went pumpkin picking with my brother @robjagoe, his wife @cjagoe, and their daughter Madison. We went to Jones Family Farm which has been around since 1848.

Below is a picture of us sitting on a bench at the farm. Pumpkin picking is an annual October tradition for the family. We take pumpkins home to carve into Jack-O-Lanterns and to make delicious pumpkin pies.

The Pick of the Patch

Although it wasn't strawberry picking season, Madison briefly turned into a strawberry and became the pick of the patch. Jones Family Farm had plenty of painted wooden head-in-the-hole boards scattered around the farm like the one seen below.

In the picture below you can see a table full of decorative Indian corn. Jones Family Farm has tons of great autumn products to purchase. They sell countless varieties of pumpkins, apples, squash, gourds, jams, ciders, honeys and more.

Farm Animals

Can't have a farm without some animals! Jones Family Farm had a sty with a few large pigs and a coop full of chickens for people to admire. Madison liked the Pigs. They were digging in the mud at the time as you can see below.

Overall, it was a #BeautifulSunday spent doing autumn activities with the family. I ended up bringing a couple pumpkins home and I'll most likely make a pumpkin pie this week. When we left the farm we stopped for lunch and enjoyed buffalo wings with some Sunday football. It was definitely a good day.
