A little boy's obsession

My son is 2.5 years old now. Since the day he was bornt, he has developed fixations for a number of different things. Usually when he sees something new or learn new things about these everyday items, he will want to look at it all the time.

These comes in phases, and for each phase it will be with one or more different items. It started out with his bodyparts, then slowly expanded into everyday objects he see around him. 

The latest phase is the air conditioning machine in the house

So, every morning, after we have changed his diapers and dress him up for the day, he will request to me (and only to me, never to my wife, for some reason) "要看 aircon!" ("Want to see aircon!"). I would then dutifully pick him up in my arms and walk around the house to each room so that he can greet the machines 

"Good morning aircon!"

Most of the time we will have to repeat the walkaround a few times until I got tired and tell him we'll continue later.

He also wants to do the same thing in the evening. After I undress him for his bath, He will go around in my arms wishing "goodnight aircon!","see you tomorrow!". 

Very recently he also took up an interests in hairdryers, so after greeting the aircon in each room he will also greet the hairdryers.

He is not exactly lightweight and it becomes tiring for me after a few rounds, but it is just so darn adorable when he speaks to these everyday objects that we don't give a second thought to. 

It's really fascinating how a child sees the world, so full of wonder and curiosity.
