Why the Broke and Rich need Steemit and Other Cryptocurrencies (Bitshares, EOS, Elyte.io )
Steemit which is powered by steem blockchain and a part steem ecosystem has been a blessing to all members -especially those in the developing countries who otherwise do not have an option to earning enough money to help their family. Forget about the current correction or decline in value of most top coins and tokens-rather think about the value cryptocurrencies have added since their inception. Steem current price, for example, is a jackpot compared to few months ago(SBD, EOS, Bitcoin, Ethereum et al too) so why the panic or fud from some people? Is it not ok to have some correction in crypto space in order for more people to change fiat and join us in this great phenomenon called cryptocurrencies? Here are some few points.
The Broke/ Poor can grow: Steemit platform provides opportunities for all. Moreover , steemit platform , unlike other social media platforms (Facebook , for example, will never share revenue with members) is currently disrupting the segment and providing opportunities to all ( poor and rich)-especially those who otherwise do not have the opportunity or knowledge to succeed online. This is true if you go to Nigerian and Indian tags where many young students are using the platform to organize and sponsor many humanitarian causes and at the same time , provide for themselves and their communities.
The Rich: You cannot compare the return on investment (ROI) of cryptos with any other investments (even stocks or bonds ). Therefore many rich people have turned to steem blockchain , bitcoin , the newly formed Ethereum Lyte ( www.elyte.io ) and other cryptos due to good ROI the projects provide. On the other hand, however, the crypto space is being attacked (continuously ) by some greedy rich entities ( Banks , government entities , gold investors, Facebook et al ) who want to continue their greedy monopoly and control over the masses and thus will always spread Fud through their controlled media leading to loss in value of cryptos-we have seen this issue before and thus will not be influenced by fear, rather will use it as an opportunity to buy cheap coins or tokens because cryptocurrencies are here to stay.

Some of the most inspiring posts I’ve seen are from people in developing countries making an income when they couldn’t before. I think Steemit presents a huge opportunity for them. I gladly give them my upvotes and encouragement! (Even though my votes aren’t worth much since I’m new!)

Steemit is a blessing to a global audience particularly from developing countries like Nigeria where I hail from.
A steady 1SBD daily is far bigger than what the government pays an average civil servant (Government worker).
Steemit is eradicating poverty already

Well sir you really wrote some massive good points out here yes it helps the poor if he /she keep patients on steem but this platform also helps the teenage school students too they can start earning from there initial time and many poor students can even fund there studies from the earning they receive from steem agreed or not ?

Great advise. Just getting going on Steemit. Slow start when building up a following. Trying to find what I want my voice to be about. Crypto or photography or a bit of both. Getting here before the masses is a good thing :)

Good post. Not a lot to comment for me, since the post sums up pretty much how I feel. Corrections are part of crypto life and we just need to HODL. For now. When Steem was at 70 cents, and now, Steem is 3 times that, it is still a good time! But I am hoping it goes back to being $6 or so, likewise with SBDs. Waiting for those times now!

My thought is "buy quality cryptos and be patient"
Here is what I look for:
1 – look for a strong team with experience
2 – are they planning to or in the process of solving a real-world problem
3 – is the project transparent, accountable and active
4 – is there a clear understandable and on point whitepaper
5 – do they have a road map and are they following it
6 – are milestones set and achieved
7 – have they been accepted by large and reputable exchanges
8 – have they made partners in the business arena or are they actively pursuing same
9 – is their token truly needed for their project and not just a funding venue
10 – are they compliant and looking to be compliant and avoid legal troubles
11 – is there a large enough market for the project to be viable long term
12 – use critical thinking and look to find obstacles against their success
13 – is there energy, excitement and marketing effort being put forth and not just hype
14 – is there enough community support for the project to have it reach critical mass
15 – is the financing model flawed (such as pre-mined and mostly centralized, and/or highly inflationary)
And which would be those quality cryptos at the moment? Just curious on your thoughts?
There are several that have the qualities described. The fact that they are tanking at the moment does not change the fundamentals. A few examples are Etherium, Stellar, Icon, Cardano and NEO.
I agree with you, tough I have to document more on Icon. I would also add EOS.
