Drecly
Granddad would respond to a lot of questions with one word. “Drecly” as in I will be there directly or respond directly or it will happen directly. Of course directly was relative to Grandad time. It might mean right now or whenever he got around to it.
My father took to saying it late in his life, such an endearing term from a quiet Australian paying homage to the memory of another.
I find, as I grow older, I use it in my head more often with a nod to the two gentleman it reminds me so fondly of.
Drecly - things will happen, all in good time.
