Family Time
Here in the US, we are celebrating the Memorial Day holiday with a 3 day weekend. Memorial Day is a day to remember and honor those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom, which is a humbling thing to think about.
We have used this 3 day weekend to get away and are hanging out on the Colorado River with some family. We have had a great weekend, and I wanted to share some of the highlights with my Steemit friends.
Kendra (now 8 months old) got to go on her first boat day with the family, and was a real trooper. She was up for anything, and put up with the baby life jacket that is almost as confining as a straight jacket... but safety first right! We pulled out a little kiddie pool at the house for her to play in, and she enjoyed sitting in it and splashing for a long time!
Jacob enjoyed playing in the water, and especially liked hanging out on the shore and playing in the mud with some small construction toys. We were able to fit in a little fishing, and the time spent with cousins was a big highlight for him.
We have enjoyed the family time this weekend and just came back from a great fireworks display that we watched from the boat to celebrate the holiday. Although we are all feeling wiped out at this point on a busy weekend, it has been a much needed reprieve from the daily grind. Here are some pictures from this weekend:
Now if I could only take a vacation day to recover from the vacation... 🤔

I had a busy weekend, I did not have time to go somewhere to relax, I had a family reunion and prepared some hamburgers on Saturday night and I was also studying a little this weekend.
I see that you had a great time with your family is the important thing I had heard before on these days of vacation on the day of the fallen.
As always your beautiful children Kendra is growing little by little and Jacob as always full of fun
Beautiful Kendra and Jacob, managed to catch some fish this time? Good thing they enjoyed these days and managed to get away from the routine, it's amazing how children do not waste time to have fun and can play and be creative with anything.
