Family Spokesman Brad Bauman Labels Seth Rich Investigation "Fake News" and sends "Cease and Desist" Letter to PI Rod Wheeler

"Fake News"

Once again the MSM attempts to label investigations into Seth Rich's death as "Fake News". This time it's the Washington Post, home to former Clinton campaign manager turned columnist John Podesta, who are spearheading the charge against "preposterous conspiracy theories".

The Rich story has taken on elements of the Comet Ping Pong conspiracy theory, a false and preposterous tale involving Clinton and her supposed operation of a child-abuse ring at the District pizza restaurant.

After largely ignoring the revelations linking Seth Rich to Wikileaks last week, instead focusing on Trump's alleged sharing of classified information with the Russian officials at the White House, WaPo has now switched gears going on the offensive attacking the source of the information. Private investigator, Rod Wheeler has disclosed that there was 'tangible' evidence on Rich's laptop that could potentially prove Seth Rich's communications with Wikileaks. However, Wheeler has backtracked on some of his statements in recent days saying he was misquoted.

Cease & Desist

WaPo is reporting that the Rich Family has sent a "cease and desist" letter to Mr. Wheeler and is also demanding a retraction from Fox News.

In the letter obtained by The Washington Post, a lawyer for the Rich family warned Wheeler to immediately “cease and desist” from making any statements about Rich, the murder and the investigation.

“Your improper and unauthorized statements, many of which are false and have no basis in fact, have also injured the memory and reputation of Seth Rich and have defamed and injured the reputation of the members of the family,’ ” lawyer Joseph Ingrisano wrote.

In addition, the WaPo reports that Wheeler had offered his services to the family but was being paid by Ed Butowsky a Dallas financier who periodically appears on Fox business news.
