Question Faith

in #faith7 years ago

Is it OK to question your faith? Some will say no because it is not worth the risk. It seems those people have been programmed to live in fear and are subject to the control of their religious leaders. Others will say question everything and get the facts. It seems those people are autonomous and bold enough to explore the unknown in search for truth.
It is said that truth is a statement that corresponds with reality. Christians will tell you that truth is Jesus Christ. The interesting thing about that is that the source that the Christians get their information from is only the bible. There is a lot of good principles to live by in the bible but does that mean that it is true? I don't think so but I think that it is a good idea to question its validity. It is mind boggling to me when Christians tell me that the Jesus Christ is real. It is even more mind boggling that they tell me that they know this without giving me any evidence outside of biblical text and because they just believe. In my opinion just because Christians believe that Jesus Christ existed is not sufficient evidence that it is true.
It is said that faith is to believe something without proof. If a person wants to do that it is their right. There are many people that have given up their autonomy because of the faith that they were sold.
