He Knows, he is with you

Yes it is tough. It seems you are alone and no one understands how you feel. The people you trusted disappointed you and the problem persists. It looks as if it will never end. You thought you were a strong Christian, now you doubt. God seems not to be there. You have prayed and begged all these while and the response is that big, great, dreaded silence. You want to throw in the towel. There seems to be no other way for you. You want to give up.
There are many people in life now who are undergoing difficult situations. There is a mother with children whose husband has left the family thereby abdicating his responsibility. There is a woman who sacrificed much for her ex-boyfriend in order that he may stand. He stood and the payback was to find fault with the woman and abandon her for another woman. The woman feels broken. There is a father who has been struggling with providing for his family. Financial stability seems not to be for him. There is a youth who has not gotten a job for years after graduation. The ground is giving way. There is a girl who has never known the love of a father. Her father showed little care for her and now she is in crisis. Hopelessness expands and God seems to be distant. Such circumstances are not to be belittled. But when you are left only with the option of being strong, you get to realize how strong you can be.
For years the woman has been taking care of her children despite the absence of the man of the house. It has been difficult but she has proven to be tougher than her circumstance. The woman who sacrificed much for her boyfriend only for him to leave her has shown who she is. She is someone who understands that love is sacrifice. A lot of people do not know that. She feels broken but she needs to know that when one loses someone whom one never thought of losing, it is because one is being prepared to meet someone whom one never dreamt of meeting. She deserves someone better and someone better she will get. The father struggling to provide for his family finds it hard. If this is a test, he is doing fine by not giving up. His actions and faithfulness proves that he deserves a blessing. The blessing is on its way. The youth has not gotten a job. He is fed up. This has led him to start thinking that he can create something. The seed for the establishment of his own business has been sown. What has he to lose by trying? He is down already so the only way to go is up. The girl did not know the love of a father and life has been rough. Little does she know that through her experience, God will use her to help hundreds and by extension thousands of girls with similar experience. She has been prepared for the task.
Whoever you are, having experienced unfavourable circumstance and not going under means that you are stronger. Now you need to pray for an increase in faith.
Who said you survived all the while without God? He may have been silent but he was there. All you needed to get to the next day and the next up till today was provided. God has made promises with his Word. The promises are converted to guarantees when we obey God despite the circumstance. It is difficult but continue to trust God and obey him.
You may have reduced God and his power in your thought. You may have forgotten that he is omnipotent and his ways are not your ways.
At the wedding at Cana, the wine failed. Jesus’ mother, Mary, after beseeching him told the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” The wine was finished, so the need was for wine. Jesus told them to go fill the jars with WATER. Remember that Jesus had before then never performed any miracle publicly so we can say that he was still unknown. I wonder how the servants considered Jesus when they were asked to fill the jars with water. Many of us will hiss and walk away if we were to be the servants. But they recalled Mary’s word, “Do whatever he tells you.” Their obedience gave way to a miracle! Your obedience to God even when it seems absurd is preparing you for a miracle. Continue doing what is right before God.
Your circumstance should not give you the excuse to belittle God. He made the universe and gave it order. His power speaks to us through his creation. If God were a captain at sea who looks confused then you have cause to worry. If he were your general in the army and you find him sobbing in his tent in the midst of a battle then you are finished. But God is always in control. As long as he lives, evil will not triumph. And just as the day follows the night, joy will follow your pain. He works in ways we do not understand. Allow him to be mysterious. He is omniscient, you are not.
Have you considered that God trusts you to handle your situation properly? It was because God trusted Job that he allowed Satan to try him. He allowed Satan to put him through trials but asked him not to touch his life. God will never permit you to undergo a trial you are not able to pass; he does not give you more than you can handle. Rather he trusts you to pull through. After Job came through all his trials, God restored his prosperity and gave him twice as much as he had before.
You will pull through. In the end, you will smile because you will be blessed. There is God whom you should trust no matter how hard. Speak to him sincerely even concerning how you feel. Then look upon him and find courage.
Prove your faithfulness not with words now but with action and turn God’s promise of blessing to a guarantee. God is with you.
