Romans 12:2

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

This verse advises us to renounce world things; to be transformed, by having our minds enlightened in the pure and simple Christian worship. True Christianity, therefore, is going against the standards set by the world around us in pursuit of the will of God.
