Christopher Columbus was born in October 1451 in port city of Genoa, Italy. His parents were Domenico Colombo, a wool weaver, and Susanna Fontanarossa. He had four children named Bartolomeo, Giovanni Pellegrino, Giacomo and Bianchinetta. His family wasn't rich, thusly he didn't get the training of a rich. He was self trained through reading. Later, he went to Prince Henry's School of Navigation in Portugal. Amid his initial life, he sold maps and charts to support him. He was only a 14 year old child when he got down working on boats.
