8 Facts About Sex and Pregnancy
Because it is still considered taboo, sex is often misunderstood by many people. Things that are sex is not taught clearly so that people actually receive information that maze and "myth" is clearly wrong about sex, especially those associated with pregnancy.
Do you know what sex activities make a woman pregnant, and which one does not? Here are a few things you should know to not go wrong:
- You can get pregnant the first time you have sex
A man can impregnate a woman even when first having sex. If you are female and have sex, you can become pregnant as soon as you start ovulation (the release of an egg). This happens before you have your first menstruation.
So do not think because this is the first sex, then there will be no pregnancy.
- You can still get pregnant even if the couple has not ejaculated
There is a belief that a woman will not be able to conceive if her partner pulls out her penis before ejaculating. The fact is, pulling out the penis will not eliminate the possibility of getting pregnant.
The reason is, before a man ejaculates, in fact there are sperm in the fluid pre-ejaculation, which comes out when a man feels aroused. It takes only 1 sperm cell to make a woman pregnant.
So pull the penis before ejaculating (ejaculate outside), not one hundred percent prevent pregnancy. Better to use contraception if you want to prevent pregnancy.
- You can get pregnant if having sex during menstruation
The fact is, a woman can get pregnant anytime of the month if she has sex without contraception, including during menstruation. Sperm can last several days after sex, so even when you do it during menstruation, sperm can remain in the body long enough.
- You can get pregnant even if sex in a standing position or sitting
You may have heard the myth that a woman can not get pregnant if she has sex standing, sitting, or if she jumps up and down afterwards. The fact is, there is no position free of pregnancy if you have unprotected sex or other forms of contraception.
There is also no place to prevent pregnancy during sex, including a bathroom or shower. Pregnancy can occur in any position, and wherever you do it. All it takes is a sperm that meets an egg.
- You will not get pregnant because of oral sex
You may have heard that you can get pregnant only with oral sex. The reality is, a woman can not get pregnant in this way, even though she swallows her sperm. But you can get sexually transmitted through oral sex, such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, and herpes.
- You can not use plastic instead of a condom
Only condoms can protect you from sexually transmitted diseases, not plastic. You can buy them at pharmacies and stores.
- Condoms can not be washed and reused
Do not trust anyone who says you can wash the condom and use it again. The fact is, you can not use condoms more than once, even if you wash them. If you use a condom, discard and use a new one when you have sex again.
This applies to male and female condoms. Condoms need to be replaced after 30 minutes of sex because friction can weaken the condom, making it more easily damaged or loose.
- You can get pregnant even if only have one sex
You can get pregnant even if only one time have sex. All it takes is one sperm to meet the egg. To prevent pregnancy, always use contraception, and use condoms to prevent transmission of sexual diseases.
