Holding tails!

Seahorses hold their tails to show their connection.
Okay - in this picture that I added below you can see a seahorse that holds to an object as I could not find 2 seahorses together. But it seems like seahorses have a special kind of relationship.
Another interesting thing about sea horses is that the male ones are carrying the babies and not the female ones. The female ones are laying their eggs into the males puch and inside they are fertilized.
The baby sea horses are pushed out via contractions of the male - and about 2000 babys can be born this way.
The baby sea horses are very fragile and almost transpartent. You can barely see them with your eyes.
Seahorses are also know to always stay with the same partner. They don't mate with other seahorses and they form a relationship that lasts a life long.
