The idea of basic universal income has been rejected by Sweden, Switzerland, and a few other countries in the recent years; however, a few years from now, may be the basic income will be the only options to provide living to the masses because of the scarcity of jobs that have been wiped off by the automation and robotics. Overall, the idea of basic free income makes more sense in the social democratic countries and not in the U.S. that has a Capitalist system especially under the Republicans.
