Fxxx FaceBook Coin
Out of the anger about how social networking services like Facebook have been mismanaging our personal data for years, we have created a coin - the Fxxx Facebook Coin.
Yes, it is named that way because we are extremely angry. We really think that everyone should be more angry about it.
In the wake of Facebook-Cambridge Analytica scandal, many joined the #DeleteFacebook movement, including people like Elon Musk and Steve Wozniak. But for most people and organizations this is not an easy decision, as they have all their connections on Facebook.
So, what to do?
Join another social network? Besides the obvious problem that all your friends and families are still on FB, the deeper problem is that social networks based on current Internet technologies are all the same - each of them is managed by a centralized platform, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat etc.
As long as there is a centralized platform that stores and manages your data, there is the possibility that your data are being sold to advertisers. The funny thing is that even though you contribute to the growth of the network with all your activities on it, you can't really earn anything from that.
It is the platform itself that earns, by selling your data!
Worse, you might get manipulated by third parties that possess your data, as shown in the Facebook-Cambridge Analytica scandal.
With blockchain technology, users do not need to surrender their data to any centralized platform. They are in full possession of their own data. They are no longer a product of the social network.
The best thing is, users can even earn from what they have created on the network!
One of our aim of introducing FFB is to further raise public awareness on this issue. We also like to raise some capital to build a blockchain-based social network that truly benefits all its users and coin holders.
