Facebook's Non-Censorship Has Created Problems

What is Facebook up to?

The Stanford team found "widespread" tobacco promotion and sales across Facebook. Some e-cigarette pages show product photos and lists of flavor options while hosting a big "shop now" button that takes the browser off of Facebook and moves them to a separate e-commerce site run by the company.

According to the article, "Facebook has a tobacco problem, researchers say" by Angelica Lavito on the CNBC website, advertisements are rampant and often not well regulated.

Facebook had declared a banned on all cryptocurrency ICO advertisements, however, I have personally seen more of these ICO ads popping up. Doing what you preach? No.

Many times I have also encountered posts shared on Facebook containing hate speech, violence, gore. Reporting it to the Facebook authorities is futile, and I would receive a meaningless message saying "This post does not violate our community guidelines." What?!

Facebook needs a Facelift.

Facebook has promoting questionable products for years, how many facebook ads are just scammy 'e-books'? A lot. They are threatened by crypto hence their stance.

its a fight between large corporations and the new generation of ownership and people :)

you still watch FaceBook?
How quaint.

Facebook is on the verge of collapse, in Indonesia, many Facebook posts are triggering a commotion.

wow i see :) wonder where the investors are going next when Facebook go bust? hehe

There are new projects that can do crypto advertising without websites.. http://beacontoken.com for example.

It's a very line between censorship and freedom of speech.

What is the solution, censor everything, or nothing at all?

Facebook seems to make up their own rules there a scam

Face what? Face who?

If they want to be socially free but get ad fees they should have the option for PEOPLE to opt out of certain ads on their feed. A smoker is not a drinker. A married parson doesn’t always have kids.

yeah I have never had the thinking that I should be paid to view ads. But yeah why are we paying FB to feed us with ads? Marketing companies should be paying us a fee as well.

It should be like: "Advertisement: Click to view and get paid $0.50."
