Filler: Facebook Bans Cryptocurrency Ads
Facebook Business has just announced its New Ads Policy on misleading advertising practices that involves promotion of binary options, initial coin offerings (ICOs), or cryptocurrency.
Here's a screenshot of FB's New Ads Policy:
Rob Leathern, Product Managament Director, believes in "People First" principle but encourages its community to work with the company as its "cryptocurrency ads filter" [to report content that violates FB's Advertising Policies]. Now, how can ordinary users tell you that the existence of one cryptocurrency ad means that the crypto company is not legitimate? Besides, today's top crypto companies are already inside promoting their ads through their official Facebook groups and pages:
Javvy | Javvy Crypto Solution
Divi Project | Divi Project
Stream Token | Stream
Monetha | Monetha
ShapeShift | ShapeShift.io
Bancor | Bancor
SpectroCoin | SpectroCoin
Coinbase | Coinbase
Circle | Circle
Well, Facebook have board members who are crypto-backers. Will their New Ads Policy affect their crypto investments too? More than that, how can they enforce it if facebook users themselves are paying for these crypto ads?
