“Facebook is behaving like it's a special snowflake,” he said. “It's not. It is a company and companies need to have a separation of chair and CEO.” – John Kron

The investors of Facebook have asked Mark Zuckerberg to resign from his CEO position and have. John Kron who is a senior vice president of Trillium asset management had called Zuckerberg to leave the position. The issue started between the interests of the community on the one hand and its shareholders on another. Zuckerberg has taken the blame for Russia’s interference in the 2016 elections set out effective plans. Many think he should quit and the other according to the others that he is not accountable for the recent scandal, as he has worked hard to fix them.

If you have been following the news, you might already know that Zuckerberg has taken back his decision to resign as chairman.

Natasha Lamb, who is a Facebook investor and the Managing Partner at Arjuna Capital, said - “That concentration of power creates a lot of defensiveness within the company,” she said. “It’s an exercise in hiding that there is a problem rather than admitting that there is a problem and setting a roadmap to fixing it.”

Zuck should resign

Half the people think that Zuckerberg is no more capable of addressing the issues that are posing threats to the community and failed to stop hate around the globe. Both Sandberg and Zuckerberg have given enough responses to the Civil and human rights about company policies and was yet asked to resign from his chair and her from the board.

Zuck should stay in power

Mark Zuckerberg should not be blamed for it entirely. “Yes, I think that ultimately the issues that we’re working on here, things like preventing interference on elections from other countries, finding the balance between giving people a voice and keeping people safe – these are not issues that any one company can address,” Zuckerberg said. Julie Goodridge, chief executive of Facebook investor NorthStar Asset Management, said “Regardless of who shows up at board meetings, Mark still has all the power to control the company,”

Zuckerberg is the main brain, and his power remains at the helm as he controls 60% of Facebook’s voting shares. He is still I his absolute power to overrule the decisions of the board and sideline the investors. It is still a huge question to the board concerning the position of Mark Zuckerberg which might as well be replaced by an independent body.
