Facebook News Feed gets a new design: It is now easier to read and navigate

Whenever we open Facebook, we see that the News Feed is always populated with a unique set of stories that include photos, videos, GIFs, and links. Due to this, each feed is more complex than ever.

However, in order to make News Feed more conversational and easier to read and navigate, Facebook is now bringing in new updates to its platform's design. Basically, the social media app is now making News Feed an easier place to connect.

Better Conversations

Facebook is working to help people have more lively and expressive conversations on the social networking platform. More and more, comments have become the way to have conversations about a post with other people.

As such the company has updated its comment style and has made it easier to see which comments are direct replies to another person.

Improved Readability

Facebook is also making updates to refresh the look and feel of News Feed. The updates include increased color contrast so that typography is more legible, larger link previews so everything is easier to read.

The company has also updated icons and Like, Comment, and Share buttons that will be larger and easier to tap. There will be circular profile pictures to show who is posting or commenting.

Easier Navigation

Finally, Facebook is improving how people navigate News Feed to create a more consistent experience. Thus, the company will now make it easier to see where a link will take its users before clicking on it.

Users can also see whose post they're commenting on, reacting to, or reading while they are in the post. Users can return to News Feed once they've finished reading via a more prominent back button.

Facebook has assured that these new design updates will not affect Pages' reach or referral traffic.
